We specialise in workplace and hospitality, providing consultancy and design services including measured surveys, space design, concept design, construction drawings and specification and procurement of finishes, furniture and fittings. 

But above all we guide you through every step of our process which can be taken at your pace and we reduce your risk because we know change is difficult and the timing has to be right, we call this THE BASECAMP WAY.

CORE SERVICES

Brief development

A successful project needs a detailed brief to establish exactly what you want from your design and ensures you get the best solution.  We create the design brief and feasibility study through consultation and a questionnaire which identifies areas in which the productivity, sustainability and well-being can be increased.

Measured surveys

Through a site survey we provide accurate existing plans and identify capabilities of the site for development. A full audit of furniture and fittings can be provided alongside the existing drawings.  If your existing space is not suitable we can design extensions or help you find the correct property.

Concept design

Based on your brief and survey we will create a concept board and 2D layouts to identify key elements of the design. We believe there is only one correct solution based on your requirements so based on your feedback this will then be translated into the final 3D visuals so you can fully understand the design.

Costings & Tendering

The brief will clearly identify your budget which we will design to. We provide full cost estimates prior to tendering to ensure projects remain in budget. We manage the full tendering process to ensure you get the best contractor to deliver your requirements. We manage the project through construction until completion and snagging.

Detail design

We provide full drawing packages required for construction and to comply with building regulations. You can choose from two delivery methods: Traditional - full design prior to tender, or Design & Build - we work with the contractor to provide a fast track '' solution. 

We ensure the quality is maintained using either method.

FF&E Procurement

We provide full procurement of furniture and accessories. We work closely with many suppliers and other professionals so we can provide all the services you require for a turnkey solution.

That’s where Basecamp Interiors comes in and uses their expertise to creating interiors that not only impress but increase the well-being of the users.


Basecamp Interiors opened for business in 2019 and are dedicated to helping each client make decisions about the work environment which benefits everyone. The company was founded by Alicia Bunn, a highly experienced Interior designer with a background in Architecture and a creative passion to improve peoples well-being through Interior design and  increasing business growth.

Basecamp Interiors are proud to have worked on over 20 office redesign, from 100m² to  2500 m² over the past year as well as a number of hospitality and residential projects. 

Basecamp interiors acts as design consultant for Installation and Refurbishment Solutions (IRS), a specialist commercial interiors and relocation company who are committed to providing an individual solution for your office move or refurbishment, giving you the peace of mind that your project is in the hands of the experts.

This office was completely re-imagined to create a bright and colourful space which accommodated not only more staff but provided a meeting room which opened onto a breakout/lounge area allowing flexible use,  providing 2 very different spaces or one large social/meeting space to accommodate all the staff.

LEADING CLIENTS STEP BY STEP TO THE OPTIMUM SOLUTION.

1. INITIAL CONSULTATION

Every client is different and they need a bespoke solution.

We will help you identify what your Outline Brief is so we can advise you on the best package for your needs and if the Hybrid solution will work for your company.

2. BRIEF

Produce a Design Brief & Feasibility Study

Basecamp Interiors works with the Client and their staff to create a Brief which identifies areas in which the productivity, sustainability and well-being can be increased and solutions are proposed. This is reviewed throughout the design process to ensure we are on track and to get the best solution.

3. PROPERTY SOURCING/ANALYSIS

We will analyse your existing office or proposed offices to see if your needs can be met now and in the future. 

4. MEASURED SURVEY & PRODUCTION OF AS-BUILD DRAWINGS

A measured survey will check what has been built as existing drawings may not be correct or cover everything required to create a new design. We also survey the furniture and fittings to allow a considered proposed design.

5. CONCEPT DESIGN

Some clients know what they want and others have a rough idea, our job as designers is to tell a story about you if it is residential or your brand if it is a commercial project.

For commercial projects it is one of the biggest marketing tools you have to influence clients and staff combined with all the functional aspects to operate successfully. That is why we take a very detailed brief and develop a concept design that will work on all levels for sucess.

7. COSTINGS/ TENDERING

For many clients the first question they ask is 'How much will it cost?' As experts we design to a budget you set and help you choose that budget based on your requirements. By choosing this route compared to using a design and build company you can ensure you get the design you really want, quality is maintained and any cost savings are passed onto you.

The design and build method boasts that it is faster than the traditional method, this is often true but there are ways we can speed up the traditional method and this is why we design to a budget and provide budget costings prior to tender as well as value engineering. We also have strong relationships to contractors so the tendering process is speeded up.

The final construction cost will often depend on how long the project takes until it gets to construction. As a client the best way to speed up the process is to make quick decisions so the project can be sent to tendering as soon as possible.  

Note: costs fluctuate and the Covid pandemic is a prime example which has seen some raw material costs increasing by up to 30%.

8. DETAILED DESIGN

As they say 'The devil is in the detail', by appointing us we make sure that the drawings are comprehensive and items are fully specified. This ensures that you do not run into any foreseeable problems and that the contractor does not make snap decisions onsite which could lead to compromised design or functionality. This helps in keeping costs on track and prevents delays to construction. 

9. BUILDING REGULATIONS

Building regulation approval is required for most building works and is the minimum standards for design, construction and alterations. All our work is compliant and we often exceed the standards to future proof designs.

10. PROJECT MANAGEMENT THROUGHOUT CONSTRUCTION

By appointing us to oversee your construction project you have peace of mind that our design and specification is carried out.

11. SNAGGING & FINAL SIGN OFF

We offer a final project completion assessment as part of the project management or as a separate service on our projects or others. Our expert eye will pick up any items not up to standard or specification and oversee the rectification.
